Founded by Joshua B Moore, B Moore Solutions is built on more than 20 years of deep, hands-on IT experience. From early government projects to global enterprises, Joshua’s career has centered on helping organizations use technology smarter, safer, and more cost-effectively.

A Career Rooted in Service and Innovation

Joshua’s IT path began in 2000 as a college intern with NASA. There, he assisted with the Federal Computers for Learning program that repurposed excess government computer hardware, traveling to Title I and empowerment zone school districts across 13 states. He and his team built and installed computer labs, wiped and re-imaged equipment, and trained teachers and staff—providing thousands of students their first access to modern technology.

From Networks to Enterprise Systems

Starting as a Network Administrator, Joshua developed strong foundations in physical infrastructure—running copper, punching down cables, and connecting fiber. He advanced to Network Engineer, spearheading a wireless projects and configuring Federated Services. He also led cloud migrations from on-premises VMware to Azure and private cloud platforms, building efficiency and scalability.

Large-Scale Systems Administration

Joshua then moved to a large healthcare provider with over 80 locations, where he managed mission-critical systems in the main data center. He worked extensively with HP servers running VMware ESXi, supporting a diverse environment of Windows, Red Hat, and Solaris servers—balancing performance, security, and compliance in a highly regulated industry.

Security and Managed Service Insight

At a Managed Service Provider, Joshua served as a Security Consultant, performing penetration tests, vulnerability reporting, and remediation for a wide range of clients. This gave him a front-row seat to the strengths and weaknesses of many managed IT providers and vendor solutions—experience that now helps his clients choose partners wisely and avoid overspending.

Aviation and Critical Infrastructure

Most recently, Joshua served as a Systems Administrator for a Government contract. There, he oversaw multiple data centers (cloud and on-premises) and collaborated with vendors on critical public safety radio infrastructure upgrades for police and fire departments. This role sharpened his expertise in high-availability environments where uptime and security are non-negotiable.
